Manufacturing processes with chemical main impact ((1) F03)

Subject Area Metal-Cutting and Abrasive Manufacturing Engineering
Term from 2014 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223500200

Project Description

In sub-project F03, a Process Signature for processes with a chemical main impact shall be developed and made useable. For this purpose, the process of electrochemical machining (ECM) is investigated for manufacturing processes with chemical main active principle. In the first funding period, the basic applicability of the concept of the Process Signature for the ECM process was demonstrated and first components of this signature were developed. The major task of the second funding period comprises the reliable generation of state variables in the workpiece sub-surface layers by using the components of the Process Signature generated in the first funding period.
