In this research project the spectra of load-optimized structural components should be enlarged by profiles with cross-sections varying in arbitrary direction that are continuously or at least partially continuously producible by roll forming. Therefore a process combination of roll forming of wide profiles and interrupted roll beading is to be developed to form height varying beads in a waisted sheet blank.Primarily the scientific fundamentals to describe and to propose layout methods for this process combination have to be generated, e.g. to ensure low sheet thinning by transversal sheet material flow and simultaneously avoiding buckling und rippling. For this purpose the analysis of the process parameters, the design and realization of a tool system and the validation of the gained findings are to be done.In a next project phase these height varying beaded sheets could be roll formed to a profile. After-wards by levelling the beadings which serve as a material reservoir the profile could be expanded without much sheet thinning.
