This project is aimed at a study of the cooling of compact stars under a number of yet unexplored conditions. These include early stages of cooling of stars with quark cores, with specifal attention of color superconducting phases and axion cooling of neutron stars within the models of hidden (DFSZ and KSVZ) axions. We plan as well exploratory studies of the effects of magnetic field on the cooling of neutron stars.
