Continuation of the interviews of the contemporary witnesses applying the identical questionnaire and interview-constallation that had been used during the first period of the investigation, in order to guarantee the comparability of the results. Main goal remains securing the memories of the living contemporary witnesses in materials science and engineering in respect to the genesis of the discipline, its relevance for innovation and society, questions of internationalization and the specifics of the inter-German relation of the scientific and professional community before and after the year 1990.
