Diabetes-specific biobank (S02)

The biobank of the CRC (S02) archives and processes human tissue, blood and urine samples from patients with and without diabetes, while taking ethical and legal requirements as well as comprehensive quality management into account. The service of S02 is completed by a technology and method platform including comparative animal pathology and electron microscopy. These services enable S02 the interpretation of findings in animal models in the context of human pathology, which contributes to the validity of study results.
