Construction Material Sciences, Chemistry, Building Physics
Metallurgical, Thermal and Thermomechanical Treatment of Materials
Thermodynamics and Kinetics as well as Properties of Phases and Microstructure of Materials
Term from 2014 to 2019
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 231064407

The project bundles research on fabrication methods for biomimetic structures: Fibre-reinforced 3D-printing, UV-cured free-form pultrusion of fibre-reinforced composites, and waste-free sand formwork for differentiated concrete structures. In the second funding period, control systems for Hydroplotting and Gradient Concrete Extrusion will be developed on a larger scale. The extrusion of bio-based foams and the development of building components based on (co-)extrusion of short and endless natural fibres will be included as a new line of research.
