Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

The aim of our project was the establishment of biocompatible release platforms, capable of providing a handle for real-time readout of molecular release efficiency. In summary, we have established: (i) A water-soluble and biocompatible carrier based on polymethacrylates allowing the immobilization and triggered release of Dox. (ii) The successful demonstration of fluorescence-based methods for real-time quantification of molecular release. (iii) A significant level of bioapplicability of the novel release- and reporter platform, established in three-dimensional cell culture studies. (iv) The establishment of visible-light chemistry on a spin-silenced nanocarrier as a platform for the quantification of temporally and spatially resolved release. (v) The investigative relevance of novel microfluidic 3D-cell culture systems as a replacement for traditional animal model studies, as well as a method to automatically evaluate results obtained from such systems.
