Untersuchung der Anregung von plasmonischen Partikeln durch emittierende Moleküle
Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
Within this project collaboration between the Bremen and the Moscow research groups was extended. Using a new model of the Discrete Sources Method we investigated the excitation by a singular source deposited in the gap between a metal nanoparticle and a noble metal filmed substrate. These results demonstrate that it is possible to influence amplitude and position in the frequency domain of the Average Enhancement Factor of fluorescence via variation of the geometrical parameters and materials of the considered structures. Based on the Generalization of the Optical Theorem to the case of singular source excitation it has been shown that the AEF can be estimated without computation time consuming absorption cross-section. Besides it has been demonstrated that the Purcell factor can be written in clear analytic form. As the newly developed extended version of the DSM seems to be quite versatile and we will continue to investigate problems related to Surface Enhanced Fluorescence.
