Project Details
Machine tool technologies for productive machining of hybrid components (B05)
Subject Area
Metal-Cutting and Abrasive Manufacturing Engineering
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 252662854
With regard to the vision of the autonomous machine tool, the aim of subproject B05 is the ability to target specific quality parameters for the machining of hybrid components by transferring information across processes. To achieve a robust and autonomous quality control, models for the prediction of component quality are developed first. These models consider process knowledge from machining and component-specific manufacturing variations. Subsequently, methods for process control are developed to autonomously adapt the process parameters so that the local quality requirements of the workpiece are met. At the same time, the productivity of the machining process is maximized.
