Nanotubes from polymer conjugated cyclic peptides as a drug carrier for cancer therapy

Subject Area Polymer Materials
Preparatory and Physical Chemistry of Polymers
Term from 2015 to 2017
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 280534362

The post-doctoral research, which I propose to perform at the University of Warwick within the group of Prof. Sébastien Perrier aims on the synthesis of functional block copolymers and their association to cyclic peptides. These conjugates are able to be self-assembled into nanotubes by the use of hydrogen bonds. The accessible core-shell-corona structures will be cross-linked and loaded with fluorescent probes and anti-cancer drugs to manufacture labeled drug delivery vehicles that will be analysed regarding their properties and studied in vitro and in vivo.
