Project A03 focuses on measurements of radii and electromagnetic observables in key regions of the nuclear chart. Charge radii and electromagnetic moments will be explored using collinear laser spectroscopy at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams and at Argonne National Laboratory in the US, exploiting the new N=126 factory for the production of neutron-rich Au and Pt isotopes. A new method based on the measurement of missing momentum in quasi-free scattering in inverse kinematics will be investigated to determine the radii of single-particle orbitals of light and medium-mass nuclei at the Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory in Japan.
