We will implement new parameterizations developed in (AC)3 into the ICON model and perform sensitivity studies to quantify their effect on Arctic climate, Arctic amplification, and Arctic–mid-latitude linkages. We will also assess the impact of our model improvements on future climate, and quantify their role in the future development of Arctic amplification.
