Project Details
Role of soluble interleukin-6 receptor in liver damage and regeneration (A15)
Subject Area
Immunology
Term
from 2016 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 190586431
Interleukin (IL)-6 trans-signalling via the soluble IL-6 receptor (sIL-6R) controls liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy. Own developments in synthetic cytokine biology allow for the first time the complementary use of loss-of-function and gain-of-function mouse models to clear which IL-6 target cells mediate liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy.
