The central office of TRR179 is in charge of all administrative and organizational tasks related to this research centre. It prepares and coordinates scientific communication (retreats, meetings and seminars) and public outreach of TRR179. The overall budget for travel and guest scientists/ speakers as well as for retreats, seminars and meetings is also administered by Z01 for unforeseen costs and publications. Similarly, funding of Gerok positions to allow doctors that are employed by a clinic to take an acknowledged, fully-financed time-out from their clinical duties to do research is administered by the Z01 project.
