Project Details
Nanoagents for controlled manipulation of cell-ECM interaction (B11)
Subject Area
Biophysics
Term
from 2016 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 201269156
Collective cell invasion and cell migration are determined by cell-ECM interactions. To study these processes we will thus apply tools to manipulate the matrix using surface acoustic waves, which we have developed in the previous funding period. Furthermore, we will use an optogenetic construct from the last funding period to control mechanosensing in the cell. We will employ and refine those tools to investigate collective invasion from a spheroid into the surrounding matrix.
