Project Details
Integrative Modelling of Socio-environmental Systems Dynamics (A02)
Subject Area
Prehistory and World Archaeology
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 290391021
The development and application of an integrative modeling framework realized as suite of open source software tools are at the core of project A2. Using a reproducible research approach, the project will closely collaborate with case study projects (Cluster B-E) to reconstruct and evaluate the different main transformation processes, and offer tools for their comparison in order to make their objective and transparent spatiotemporal comparison possible. Next to the hitherto developed and published software tools (moin, LandUseQuantifieR, FuzzyLandscapes), the model toolbox will be further elaborated by integrating methods of dynamic system analyses and agent-based simulations.
