Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
The goal of the proposed project was the establishment of a 3D-in-vitro optical microscopy technique in combination with the development of unbiased algorithms for automated parametrization of the skin. Automatically describing the static and dynamic morphological and biophysical properties of a 3D-skin model will allow us to study the fundamental mechanisms of maintaining cell integrity within the tissue and during wound healing of the skin. During the duration of the grant allowance we worked on establishing the proposed 3D skin model. While working on the 3D skin model, the proposed image analysis pipeline was further developed and advanced based on spinning disc fluorescence microscopy images of collectively migrating malaria cells.
