This project addressed the extensive networking and strengthening of scientific collaboration between the German partner from the University of Kaiserslautern and research groups from the Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, and University of York, Great Britain within the trinational Core-to-Core Joint International Research and Collaborative Center “New Concept Spintronic Devices”. The main strategic goal of this project, which was the exchange of know-how on an international state-of-the-art level in the field of spintronics, has been successfully reached. During the implementation of the project, two trilateral Core-to-Core Workshops with international visibility were organized in Kaiserslautern. The project funding has been used for the visits by Kaiserslautern junior and senior staff members the international partner groups and for the participation in the dedicated Core-to-Core workshops. The additional deeper networking with the leading spintronics groups allowed by the project, has helped the Kaiserslautern team to push significantly forward the investigations of high-frequency magnetic properties in all running research projects. The intensive collaboration with the Core-to-Core partners resulted in many prominent scientific outcomes and, finally, in a number of joint publications. Future joint projects with the Coreto-Core partners are already envisioned.
