Energy transfers in gravity currents ((09) T03)

We will turn our attention to the overturning's southern limb and investigate energy transfers associated with the Weddell Sea Bottom Water gravity current, which supplies the densest waters to the global ocean. We will analyse the influence of individual processes such as eddy-plume interaction, non-hydrostatic dynamics, and tides on plume energetics in a model with idealized geometry.
