We will join the ongoing organoid biobanking activities to facilitate all partner labs access to a powerful cohort of human CRC organoids for functional validation. The specific aims of this project are (1) to provide a platform for teaching and harmonization of protocols between all participants and (2) to offer and perform standardized molecular characterization and (3) to facilitate access to tumor organoid models with defined molecular and pathological features on a collaborative basis. Moreover, we plan to analyze compositional changes within the microbiome of the mouse intestinal carcinogenesis models (AOM/DSS model, APCmin mice) employed in all the different projects of the research unit by 16S-based metagenomic sequencing.
