Phosphoinositide-based switches in endolysosomal membrane dynamics and signaling (A08)

Project A08 aims for a comprehensive understanding of the role of phoshoinositide (PIPs)-based lipid switches in endolysosomal function that may be of relevance for our understanding of diseases caused by dysregulated PIP homeostasis. Genome-engineering, organelle proteomics and lipidomics paired with live correlative light and electron microscopy will be used to unravel the integration of distinct populations of lysosomes marked by different PIP signatures into the subcellular network in fed vs. starved cells.
