Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
In meiner Emmy Noether-Forschungsgruppe „TWIST - Topological Whirls In SpinTronics“ erforschten wir die komplexe, fundamentale Physik topologisch geschützter magnetischer Strukturen - Skyrmionen - zusammen mit diversen anderen magnetischen Texturen sowie Spin- und Ladungsströmen mit dem übergreifenden Ziel, neue spintronische Anwendungen voranzutreiben. Unsere Forschung konzentrierte sich auf drei Hauptrichtungen: Materialdesign, effiziente Kontrolle der Eigenschaften von Skyrmionen und Weiterentwicklung von Bauteilen/Geräten. Diese Arbeiten wurden durch das Bestreben untermauert, ein umfassendes Verständnis der grundlegenden Physik und der Mechanismen zu erlangen, die diesen Phänomenen zugrunde liegen.
