The aim of the project is to produce a historical commentary to the Rhetoric of Aristotle for the first time. The commentary will not be restricted to historical allusions that may be found in the text but is going to contextualize all the attitudes to which the author refers. The commentary will explicitly meet the current research interests of the different disciplines and will provide extensive support concerning historical contextualization.
