Project Details
Investigating the optoelectronic properties of N-heterocyclic compounds and their application in photovoltaic diodes (C04)
Subject Area
Solid State and Surface Chemistry, Material Synthesis
Term
from 2017 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
In this project we will investigate the optoelectronic properties of N-heterocyclic compounds in context of their application as acceptors in photovoltaic devices. For this purpose we will study their optical, electronic and electrical properties in thin films using a variety of techniques including absorption and photoluminescence measurements, atomic force microscopy, photoemission spectroscopy, conductivity measurements and more. The new materials will be applied and investigated in two types of photovoltaic devices: as acceptors in bulk heterojuction organic photovoltaics and as interfacial modifiers in organic-inorganic hybrid photovoltaics.
