Modular forms and Gromov-Witten theory (C05)

Subject Area Mathematics
Term from 2017 to 2025
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281071066

Project Description

We investigate modular forms for a deeper understanding of the interaction between number theory and Gromov-Witten theory. This will be applied to quantum modularity. Insight about Gromov-Witten invariants will be translated to symplectic cobordisms via polyfolds. Applications include new instances of the Weinstein conjecture, a deeper understanding of the categorial structure of the symplectic cobordism relation and higher order intersection problems.
