C03 designs SiGe THz circuits for an FMCW MIMO radar system, aiming for precise material localization and characterization in line with the MARIE vision. C03’s objective is a demonstrator with sub-degree and sub-millimeter precision for radar-based measurements at around 450 GHz, with a 100 GHz tuning range. C03 investigates scalable array approaches with optimized antenna positions to increase array size and resolution by combining multiple transceiver MMICs. Additionally, C03 plans to integrate a vector modulator for various MIMO and phased-array techniques and explores distributed MIMO to use multiple MIMO radar sensors on the MARIE drone, enhancing detection accuracy.
