Tomography of hot and dense matter will study the interactions and dynamics of strong-interaction matter with the help of tomographic probes: jets and heavy quarkonia (J/Psi, Y, Y’). Based on non-equilibrium microscopic transport theory we will develop a consistent microscopic description of the interactions of jet partons with the strongly interacting non-perturbative QGP (sQGP) medium in heavy-ion collisions. We will compare the jet attenuation in the sQGP and perturbative QCD medium in terms of transport coefficients and experimental observables. We will develop a Langevin approach and a full open-quantum-system description for quarkonia in medium; their formation, evolution, rescattering, dissociation, and potential regeneration.
