The Consortium FOR 2674 ‘Aging-related epigenetic remodeling in acute myeloid leukemia’ brings basic and clinical researches from six centers (University Ulm, Freiburg, Halle/Saale, the German Cancer Research Center, Charité Berlin and the Bellvitge Institute for Biomedical Research (IDIBELL), Barcelona (Spain) together to work on the forefront of epigenetic/aging/stem cell research in relation to acute myeloid leukemia. The Consortium has two co-coordinators, Dr. Michael Lübbert in Freiburg and Dr. Christoph Plass in Heidelberg and includes a Coordinating Project, which supports internal and international activities between the members of FOR 2674. Here we request funds for the Coordination Project for FOR 2674. These funds will support the coordinators of FOR 2674 with three major tasks building on the success in the past funding period: Task 1 will be to coordinate the daily work and communication in the Consortium. Task 2 will be to provide support to the coordinators in promoting scientific advances from the Consortium on a national as well as international level. Task 3 is devoted to equal opportunities for female scientists and single parents with children. Funding is requested in addition through Modules for Network funds, Project specific workshop funds, Public relations funds, for start-up funds and for gender equality.
