The sub-project aims at a process-oriented explanatory model of refiguration in varieties of spaces of routes (also: trajectory spaces). The project conducts case studies of transnational commodity chains for agricultural products in order to develop a typology of spaces of routes. It examines the dynamics of the refiguration of commodity chains from 2019 to 2029. Furthermore, it analyses how power balances in regimes are intertwined with infrastructures and knowledge in order to maintain the circulation of goods along commodity chains and drive refiguration.
