The subproject examines strategies of displaced people in Lagos, Nigeria, whose spatial knowledge is shaped by their place of origin, asylum and flight as well as climate change. The aim is to capture the spatial figuration of migration in its entanglement between the perspective of refugees and internally displaced persons and the planning practices and discourses of the city of Lagos and other actors in the migration regime. A special emphasis lies on the impact of climate change and the need for climate resilience. The research combines urbanization, climate and migration research with a focus on land-water interdependencies.
