Lipid-mediated activation of protein kinases during cell polarization (A05)

We study the dynamic distribution of distinct lipids within subdomains of the plasma membrane using mammalian cell culture models and Drosophila in vivo experiments. Furthermore, we investigate the detailed mechanisms of LKB1 and PAR-1 regulation by phospholipids at cellular interfaces and their impact on cell polarity and signaling.
