Morphogenesis of the epiblast lineage during blastocyst to egg cylinder transition (B09)

The first cell lineage that arises in the pluripotent epiblast are the primordial germ cells (PGCs). Although, the transcriptional and epigenetic re-wiring of PGCs specification has been extensively studied, the morphogenetic mechanisms that form a new cellular interface between the epiblast and the emerging PGCs, segregating these tissues, is still elusive. Here, we aim to decipher this process using a 3D in vitro model of epiblast morphogenesis, in combination with in vivo analysis in early mouse embryos.
