The energy distributions of molecules generated by the plasma provide insight into the generation of reactive species and reaction mechanisms relevant for efficient conversion. This project utilizes frequency comb spectroscopy, which uniquely provides broadband coverage, high resolution and sensitivity, to determine partition functions for CO and CO2. These partition functions are also used to validate numerical simulations.
