This project aims to develop different multifunctional bioinks with ion-releasing, electrically conductive, oxygenating, reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging, and antioxidant properties for the bioprinting of perfusable skeletal muscle tissue. The microchannels-integrated muscle constructs will be fabricated using bioinks that provide key biochemical, biophysical, and biomechanical cues to the muscle and endothelial cells. The mechanobiological analysis enables us to understand how cell-bioink mechanical interactions influence muscle cell behavior.
