TF-PAR signaling in viral infections (02)

Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 318346496
This project explores how coagulation proteins regulate immune responses to viral infections through the PAR2 receptor. The focus is on the control of type I interferon signaling, which can drive autoimmune diseases when dysregulated. Using innovative mouse models and genetically modified immune cells, we aim to dissect these signaling mechanisms. We are particularly interested in the role of tissue factor (TF) and its interaction with the enzyme USP18. The goal is to identify novel strategies to modulate immune responses during acute and chronic viral infections.
