Multicomponent equiatomic high entropy oxides - synthesis and magneto-electronics properties

Subject Area Synthesis and Properties of Functional Materials
Term from 2018 to 2024
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 400731580

Final Report Year 2025

Final Report Abstract

This project explored a new class of materials, known as P-HEOs (Perovskite High-Entropy Oxides), which have the potential to exhibit valuable properties for magneto-electronic applications. These materials are derived from oxide perovskites, which are well known for their diverse physical properties, such as strong electron interactions and magneto-electric effects. P-HEOs are particularly of interest because their unique chemical structure, marked by extreme ionic disorder, may give rise to unexpected magnetic and electronic properties. By exploring how various atomic arrangements, compositions, size effects, and external factors like strain influence these properties, we have gained insights into their potential to advance magneto-electronic technologies.
