Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 360372040
The molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive colon tumour progression and treatment resistance are not completely understood. In this project, we will decipher the communication networks between cancer cells, their microenvironment and the immune system in tissues. We will integrate cell type-specific proteomics with transcriptional activities and multiplexed (phospho)protein tissue imaging. We will create cell communication networks that reflect the molecular interplay of disease and validate their impact on immunosuppression and a robust anti-tumour immune response using genetic loss and gain of function studies.
