Bewegung und Dynamik nanoskaliger Skyrmionen in ferrimagnetischen Multilagen
Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
In this DFG-sponsored work, we have obtained a better understanding of skyrmion eigenexcitations in synthetic ferri- and antiferromagnets by using micromagnetic modelling. Furthermore, we also explored the structural and magnetic properties of the novel multilayer system Pt/Co/Mn, which was shown to exhibit interfacial antiferromagnetic coupling as well as a bubble-like magnetic domains for sufficiently thick Mn thin-film layers. Despite the challenging circumstances, this has been a successful project carried out at UIUC (USA). Our work has paved the way towards more detailed studies of resonant skyrmion dynamics in magnetic multilayers as well as the properties of Pt/Co/Metal-based stacks with DMI. Recent publications by other groups have shown that these topics have gained considerable momentum in the magnetism community.
