This sociological project examines the fabrication of emotion repertoires based on four cases typical of the present – mindfulness, empowerment, affective inclusion, awareness –, which each relate in a contrary way to the social problem areas of competition and transnationality. By analyzing the links between explicit, goal-oriented and knowledge-based forms of the formation of feeling and central social conflict constellations, the project aims at a social analysis from the perspective of the sociology of emotions and empirically investigates affective moments of subjectification processes.
