In the 1st FP, we found that model-based control during sequential decision making predicted better control over real-world drinking behavior in AUD. Further, we developed a motor-sequence learning task to induce habit-like behavior as slips-of-action to examine the habit formation process. Building on those findings our aims in the 2nd FP are: First, to investigate if the development of habit-like behavior and the adjustment of learned responses in AUD is related to a loss of control over alcohol intake in everyday life. Second, we will test the influence of negative emotional states as contextual factor on the use of model-based control in AUD using alcohol rewards.
