The key objectives of this research project are to evaluate, optimize, and validate different anthropomorphism mind-attribution features in EDTs. These features will then be tested in various multimedia learning scenarios in order to gain insights into the mediating processes of anthropomorphism and de-anthropomorphism. The alleged emotional capability and the morphology of EDTs, the affective state and prior knowledge of learners, as well as the instructional complexity and the element interactivity of learning materials will be examined as key moderating factors of the effects of de-anthropomorphism on learning.
