Disquising Undesired Cues in Motions (B02)

Subject Area Public Health, Healthcare Research, Social and Occupational Medicine
Image and Language Processing, Computer Graphics and Visualisation, Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous and Wearable Computing
Term from 2020 to 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 416228727

The project focuses on the design and control of avatar movements with the intent to disguise undesired motion cues. Captured motions will be analyzed to identify the main important kinematic parameters of individual (as well as gender and age specific) movement patterns of gait, sitting, and their transitions. Based on these findings, a parametric motion generator will be developed that allows to create and alter motions according to the wishes of the user. We will evaluate both the developed model and the perception of the created motion characteristics in user studies.
