Based on the results from the first funding period, the developed concepts and systems (DDSS and FIM) will be expanded to include important features. In the second funding period, DDSS is to be expanded to include a methodology with which implicit knowledge can be captured and utilised for the early design phases. FIM will be extended to enable multi-stage and multi-component design for different AM fabrication methods. In addition, methods will be developed to automate and synchronise process and quality control using cyber-physical systems as well as to enable predictions via machine learning mechanisms (Learning-by-printing).
