The goal of C06 in the 2nd funding period is to explore the integration AM in construction using digitally continuous processes. Therefore, a Cyber-Physical Construction System (CPCS) is conceptualized to research seamless, digitally continuous construction processes from design to realization in all facets, and not remain bounded to individual, singular production systems. WP Gerke will research the technical challenges of a comprehensive integration of sensors for construction surveying, object co-registration and localization, as well as for quality control; WG Hack will investigate integrated, computational design and adaptive manufacturing and assembly processes; and WG Schwerdtner will develop methods for integrated digital process analysis and process optimization.
