Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
Overall, our results indicate that tree species richness is important in promoting the productivity of both young and old subtropical forest stands. These findings are in contrast with expectations that the functional redundancy among subtropical tree species should be higher than among tree species of the temperate zone, and corresponding effects of biodiversity thus smaller.
