Project Details
Explainable AI for analyzing structural MRI data with respect to psycho-socio-demographic factors in patients with AUD and SUD (A07)
Subject Area
Cognitive, Systems and Behavioural Neurobiology
Term
since 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 402170461
The central questions in this project are (i) how AUD relates to the structure of the brain across psycho-socio-demographic factors and (ii) how it delineates itself from other substance use disorders (SUDs). To answer these questions, we will build on advanced machine learning techniques developed in the 1st FP. Analyses will be conducted with structural MRI data sets already prepared in the 1st FP (e.g. TRR 265 cohort). In addition to human data, we will analyze rodent data provided by project A05 to sort out commonalities between substance abuse between humans and animals.
