Final Report Abstract

The music manuscripts of the Augsburg State and City Library are an important collection with a focus on the Renaissance period. The project aimed at the best possible documentation and provision of the group of sources with 79 music manuscripts up to the middle of the 17th century. This included the conservational documentation, the detailed cataloguing in the database Muscat with publication via the RISM Catalog, as well as the complete digitisation and online presentation of the sources, including thermographic scanning of the watermarks and their cataloguing in the DFG-funded database Watermark Information System (WZIS).
