The project will focus to develop methods to exfoliate 2D layered COFs via solvent-assisted delamination methods. Furthermore, the gas adsorption kinetics and thermodynamics in dependence of the sheet thickness will be studied using adsorption measurements with different probe molecules. Last, the obtained 2D COFs will be functionalized with alkyl chains via post-synthetic methods, with the aim to tune the delamination and gas adsorption properties of the resulting materials.
