Solid-State and In-Situ NMR Investigations of 2D Materials (B01)

This project will investigate structures of 2DMs by NMR spectroscopic techniques. Surface properties will be characterized, if possible in site-specific fashion. The influence of synthesis/preparation conditions upon the products will be investigated. This includes the elucidation of synthesis pathways, i.e. monitoring of the reaction intermediates, products, and side products. In-situ NMR spectroscopic studies will be used to investigate the interactions between 2DMs and guest molecules. For surface characterization a special set-up for high-pressure in-situ NMR studies and suitable gases will be developed.
