We propose to investigate the joint role of electronic correlations, spin-orbit coupling, and interaction with the lattice in the realization of exotic topological phases of matter such as correlated Dirac magnetism, electronic nematicity or topological superconductivity. We will consider two complementary approaches (i) relativistic density functional theory with dynamical mean field theory (DMFT), (ii) first-principles-derived Holstein-Hubbard and Kane-Mele-Hubbard effective models with various many-body approaches such as perturbation theory, DMFT or the two-particle self-consistent technique.
